SLUG STOPPA TAPE

This copper-coated barrier tape is 3m long x 2.7cm wide roll. Trials in the USA have shown copper banding out performed all other methods for protection from slugs and snails. When the pest makes contact with the copper it causes a reaction similar to an electric shock, which repels them. It is non-toxic, long lasting, with no possible potential poisoning of other species. It is very effective used as individual collars around young seedlings or pots. An adhesive sticky back makes application to itself or to suitable surfaces easy or it can be attached with a staple gun.

SLUG AND SNAIL TRAP

A safe, effective and reusable snail trap, that doesn’t require pellets to work. Bury the trap so the rim is level with the ground, half-fill it with beer, which holds an irresistible attraction to slugs and snails, who will then happily drown! Worldwide research shows that copper, an essential soil micronutrient, is also an excellent repellent for slugs and snails. Slug It creates an “invisible” barrier when applied around plants, on tree trunks, pots or letter boxes, that lasts for months, doesn’t wash off and is completely safe around kids and pets. Excellent results in protecting young seedlings can be obtained by spraying dry soil and allowing a film to develop, over a few hours.
