Cool Season Green Manures
As a general guide sow autumn; in areas with cold winters in southern Australia, begin sowing in early March and again in early spring; most of northern NSW and Queensland should wait until late April - May before sowing; in frost-free areas these seeds can be sown right through winter, until early August. More specific sowing times are listed as part of the seed description.

Standard postage is $12.95 (QLD) or $15.95 (all other states) for all orders which includes Bulk Seed Packs. The $7.50 postage fee for up to 100 standard packets of seed, only includes the smaller 10 mē packets not the 1000 mē or 4500 mē seed packs or kits.
Due to high postage fees there is a higher cost for bulk seed in some Australian States.

Tillage Radish UT
Raphinus sativus
This is an excellent soil builder, able to break up compaction with its large taproots. The strong, metre long roots can penetrate into the subsoil, control erosion, suppress weeds, improve aeration and water filtration into the soil. It is also an excellent animal forage, as it is fast growing and able to be grazed at 6 weeks with very good palatability. It can also be used as a biofumigant green manure to help control soil-borne diseases including fungi and nematodes. The flowers are attractive to beneficial insects. It can be sown most of the year avoiding very hot weather or very cold weather in cold temperate areas. Suitable for temperate, subtropical and tropical areas.
